Who am I?
Let me try to answer this existential question with some quick facts about myself.
Personally
I am a married mother of two boys.
I first moved to Kernersville, NC in 2014 after I graduated from college and have been a proud Kernersville resident ever since.
I lived in High Point from 2016-2020 after being granted a first-time homebuyer's incentive from the State of North Carolina.
My husband and I knew we wanted to raise our family in Kernersville, so we jumped at the opportunity to buy a home here in 2020 (across the street from my mom and four minutes down the road from my dad). We're committed to making Kernersville the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
Professionally
I have a Bachelor of Science in Management with an emphasis in Human Resources from Clemson University (go Tigers!).
I have a Master of Education in Training and Development from North Carolina State University (go Wolfpack!).
I am a project manager at a software company.
Civically
During my time in undergrad, I ran a USDA grant supported farmer's market on the Clemson campus.
I served a year in Americorps after I graduated from college, working as the volunteer coordinator for Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County.
I previously served on the High Point Human Relations Commission and Kernersville Community Appearance Commission, giving me valuable experience in local government and community service. I now serve as your Kernersville Alderman on the Board of Aldermen.
